Fifteen additional people in the Tri-County area have been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Saturday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Nine people in Marshall County, four people in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County have been recently diagnosed with the virus. That pushes totals to 5,502 in Marshall County, 1,907 in Starke County and 1,087 in Pulaski County.
There were 878 new cases reported in the state which raises the state’s overall total to 671,859 since March 6, 2020. The new cases span from October 14, 2020 to March 12, 2021.
Twenty-seven additional deaths were reported in the state from October 4, 2020 to March 12, 2021. There have been 12,436 COVID-19 deaths in the state since March 16, 2020.

As of Saturday, 1,256,381 first doses have been administered to Hoosiers and 816,080 individuals are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number includes individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The first dose has been administered to 7,514 people in Marshall County, 3,383 people in Starke County and 2,553 people in Pulaski County. There are 5,200 fully vaccinated individuals in Marshall County, 1,960 individuals in Starke County and 1,691 individuals in Pulaski County.
