The bridge on State Road 17 over Mill Creek between County Road 550 S. and 400 S. will be closed for two months for a bridge deck overlay project.
Indiana Department of Transportation officials say a bridge deck overlay is a protective treatment to extend the life of the bridge deck. The goal is to try and seal small cracks before they turn into a bigger, more costly issue.
The bridge will be closed beginning Monday, March 15 through mid-May.
The official detour will follow State Road 16, U.S. 35 and State Road 14.
