A Bremen man was arrested Wednesday, March 17 after a single vehicle accident on Plymouth Goshen Trail near Hawthorn Road in Marshall County.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez had collided with a utility pole around 12:30 p.m. on March 17. Police say Rodriquez was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and that he allegedly showed further signs of impairment after taken in for an evaluation.
Officers reportedly found illegal substances inside the vehicle Rodriquez was driving.
Rodriguez was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or narcotic drug, operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangering.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
