Another person in Marshall County and one more person in Pulaski County have died of COVID-19. They were among 29 new deaths listed in Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Marshall County is now up to 104 and it is up to 42 in Pulaski County.
The Indiana Department of Health announced Thursday that 786 more people in the state tested positive with COVID-19, with only one more case in Marshall County and one more case in Starke County. For the second time this week, there were no additional positive tests in Pulaski County. The total number of COVID-19 tests since March of 2020 in Marshall County now totals 5,364, and in Starke County it is now at 1,846. The total number in Pulaski County stands at 1,046.
Residents over the age of 65, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211. Individuals must proof of residency and employment in Indiana and meet the eligibility criteria to receive a vaccine.
As of Thursday, 851,321 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, including 5,222 people in Marshall County, 2,322 in Starke County and 1,756 in Pulaski County. Over 377,000 people in the state are fully vaccinated, including 2,481 people in Marshall County, 713 people in Starke County and 921 people in Pulaski County.
