Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel sadly announces the passing of long-time Marshall County Deputy Sheriff Captain Dan Butt.
Hassel said Saturday that Captain Butt, 53, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning at this home. At this time, his death appears to be from natural causes.
The sheriff added that Captain Butt was just about to complete his 23rd year of service with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
