The Indiana Department of Health reported Sunday that 1,233 additional people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 to bring the overall total to 648,875 since March of last year.
There were five additional people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Marshall County and in Starke County, and two people in Pulaski County. That brings the total number of cases to 5,349 in Marshall County, 1,839 in Starke County and 1,040 in Pulaski County.
Another 24 people in the state have died from COVID-19, according to Sunday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. The number of COVID-19 deaths in the state is now up to 11,746. The total increases by 427 if probable deaths are included.
Residents over the age of 65, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.
As of today, 810,046 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, including 4,942 people in Marshall County, 2,152 people in Starke County and 1,678 people in Pulaski County. Over 332,800 people in the state are fully vaccinated, including 1,923 people in Marshall County, 535 people in Starke County and 836 people in Pulaski County.
