Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman asked the school board last week for permission to advertise for bus bids with the Central Indiana Educational Service Center to purchase two new buses.
“We will be trading in two buses along with that,” stated Shuman. “Bus number 10 and bus number 16 are 2010 school buses. Anytime a bus is in the 10 years or older bracket, it’s better to turn it in than having it inspected and having to do all of the improvements. This is a typical rotation of our buses on a 10-year cycle.”
The school board members approved the request with a unanimous vote.
