Bids Opened for Bremen Community Crossings Matching Grant Projects

The Bremen Town Council members opened bids Monday night for the upcoming projects awarded finds in INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Funds program.

Bremen Street Superintendent Austin Langdon previously said portions of South Jackson Street, West Lincoln Street and West Dewey Street will receive a preventative maintenance overlay while portions of Parkview Lane, South Alexander Street, South East Street, and South Morningside Drive will be resurfaced with asphalt.

The lowest bid was submitted by E&B Paving at $366,765.  Other bids received were from Rieth Riley with $397,000, Niblock Excavating with just over $417,000, and Walsh and Kelly, Inc. with almost $517,000.

The bids were taken under advisement for further review with one to be approved in an upcoming Bremen Town Council meeting.

Work will not begin until the spring.
