Two more Starke County residents have died from COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. Those deaths reportedly occurred on January 15 and January 16. The number of people who have died of COVID-19 in Starke County is up to 43.
A total of 9,092 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19 which is an increase of 126 from Monday’s report. Those deaths were reported from December 15 to January 18.
Another 2,756 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including four more people in Marshall County, seven more people in Starke County and two more people in Pulaski County.
The number of tests reported to the state for unique individuals has dropped slightly.
Currently, 2,332 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
Residents who are the age of 70 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders, are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
