The Plymouth Community School Board members will reorganize when they meet for their first meeting of 2021 tonight.
Following the reorganization, they will appoint the corporation treasurer and deputy treasurer, establish legal counsel and determine board compensation.
Superintendent Andy Hartley will have a project update on the construction of the Lincoln Education Center. The board members will also review extracurricular financial reports, receive annual conflict of interest disclosure statements, consider the first reading of revised policies and guidelines, appoint a candidate to the Plymouth Public Library Board, consider a due process agreement, and act on a resolution that allows the transfer of funds from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund.
In the meantime, a candidate is being sought to fill the District II West Township seat on the board. The candidate must live within the boundaries of West Township and must have lived there for at least the last year. The term is four years and ends December 31, 2024. Letters of interest must be received by Plymouth Community School Superintendent Andy Hartley no later than January 6. Interviews will be held January 13 at 6 p.m.
