Plymouth Man Arrested on Charges of Possession of Child Pornography

A Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail following an investigation into allegations of possession of child pornography.

The Indiana State Police Internet Crimes against Children Task Force received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led to a search warrant at a residence in the 8100 block of 9B Road in Plymouth, according to the report. 

Indiana State Police troopers, along with deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, placed 28-year-old Tyler Southwell under arrest on Wednesday, January 27, and took him to the Marshall County Jail.  He faces five preliminary charges of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 Felony. 

The Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office. 

Police encourage residents to contact local law enforcement or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children if there is information about suspected cyber-crimes against children. 

Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
