Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt opened bids for fuel and materials during the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting Monday night.
The city will continue in a contract with Ceres Solutions with gasoline and diesel fuel for the department. Marquardt said he will be locking into a contract that will be under $2.00 a gallon for gasoline and just over $2.20 a gallon for diesel fuel.
Bids were approved with Stockberger Trucking Company and Irving Materials, Inc. for wash sand, fill dirt, fill sand, No. 53 and No. 73 commercial limestone, and gravel. Both bids were accepted as each company did not bid on all materials so the department can utilize both companies to get needed supplies with the bids provided.
