Marshall County Jail COVID-19 Test Results Show over 100 Inmates with Coronavirus

Inmates at the Marshall County Jail were tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday and the results show that 122 inmates are positive with the virus, according to the Marshall County Health Department.

The Health Department worked with the state’s Strike Team to get inmates tested after there were reports of inmates showing symptoms of COVID-19.  There were 39 inmates who initially tested positive with the coronavirus.

Marshall County Health Nurse Lisa Letsinger said Saturday that the Marshall County Health Department has been in contact with jail staff and Sheriff Hassel to discuss recommendations regarding isolation, quarantine, treatment of COVID-19 positive inmates, and testing requirements of inmates and jail staff.
