Less than 25 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the tri-county area in Tuesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.
Marshall County had 14 new cases for a new overall total of 4,817, Starke County had four new cases for a new overall total of 1,677 and Pulaski County had four new COVID-19 cases for a new total of 925. The number of tests recently conducted has also decreased.
In the state, another 3,191 residents were diagnosed with COVID-19 from December 22 to January 11. Another 88 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from December 31 to January 11.
The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the state totaled 2,515 in Tuesday’s report.
Of the 570,477 people who have had COVID-19 since March 2020, 8,731 people have died of the virus, while 370,537 have recovered. About nine percent, or 36,112 of people diagnosed are still fighting the virus.
More than 204,000 Hoosiers have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and more than 31,000 have received both doses and are fully vaccinated.
