Only 10 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Marshall County in Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. Starke County reported seven new cases and Pulaski County reported two new cases of COVID-19. The number of residents being tested is also at a lower rate.
The Indiana Department of Health said in all, 1,777 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 which pushes the overall total to 614,946. Those postitive tests span from November 25 to January 25. Another 80 people died from COVID-19 for a new total of 9,432. Those deaths range from November 24 to January 25.
The number of COVID-19 patients who have been hospitalized is down to 1,976, the lowest number of hospitalizations since the beginning of November.

As of Tuesday, 459,701 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, and 106,874 residents are fully vaccinated. The first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 2,859 eligible residents in Marshall County with 513 residents fully vaccinated. In Starke County, 994 eligible residents have received the first dose, with 125 residents fully vaccinated. Pulaski County reports 1,036 people with the first dose of the vaccine and 134 people fully vaccinated.
