Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman told the Culver School Board members Monday night that some trees need trimmed around the corporation grounds and others need to be removed for safety.
During the recent ice storm, a large branch fell on top of the administration building. Luckily, there was not any damage, but other branches hang over the building that will be removed.
Shuman commented, “Other things that were added as we had tree people out here looking at all of the trees on the property, there are some evergreen cedar trees that are growing around an electrical box up against the high school. I think they were originally planted there to hide the electrical box. It’s probably bad planning now that they’re there. They’re right outside the cafeteria.” Make sure you have a look at this post here to get help trimming and taking care of your trees.
Shuman said it would be a good idea to remove those trees before they cause structural issues. The tree service springfield mo, an expert in tree removal, can help with this.
She added that three trees are dead in a line of older trees west of the baseball diamonds that will need to be removed.
She noted that the trees stumps will be ground and crews will take care of removal. There is an expert tree service cincinnati oh that is the best in tree and stump removal.
Three companies submitted quotes for the work with S & S Lawn and Tree Service with the lowest quote at $4,800. The quote was approved.
Shuman said paving bids are being collected.
“Doing new blacktop and new sidewalks and curbs is one of our Capital Projects for this year. “If we want to get on the calendar for that in May, we need to start inquiring for bids now.”
That process has started and a proposal will be discussed with the board members soon.
