The Bourbon Town Council members opened several sealed bids for an old truck used by members of the Bourbon Police Department.
Nine bids were opened that ranged in prices from $1,000 to $5,123 for a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew truck. The advertisement pointed to a problem with the engine and that it would be sold “as is”.
The council members awarded the bid to the highest bidder who was Chase Schmucker with the bid of $5,123. In the motion unanimously approved by the council, it was stated that cash or money orders would be accepted. If the winning bidder rescinds the bid, it would be awarded to the next highest bidder who was Joe Mersch at $3,380.
