Another person in Pulaski County died of COVID-19 on New Year’s Eve, according to Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That increases Pulaski County’s total COVID-19 death count to 33. There were 106 new COVID-19 deaths reported in the state Friday that occurred from November 22 to December 31 which increases the total number of deaths in the state to 8,016.
Marshall County reported another 52 positive cases of COVID-19 in Friday’s report, Starke County had another seven cases and Pulaski County had 10 new cases.
The state figured a new formula for calculating positivity rates. In Friday’s report, Marshall County’s 7-day positivity rate for all tests was 15 percent, Starke County’s 7-day positivity rate for all tests was 16.2 percent and Pulaski County’s 7-day positivity rate for all tests was 22 percent.
