Five seats on the Culver Redevelopment Commission are open for candidates as well as two seats on the Culver Tree Commission.
The Culver Redevelopment Commission seats are an annual appointment. Three members are appointed by the town council president and two members are appointed by members of the town council.
The Culver Redevelopment Commission promotes new industrial and commercial growth within the Town of Culver and creates funding for new growth and expansion of utilities.
Applicants must be residents of the Town of Culver.
A complaint was filed last week by a resident who believes that business owners should not be on the Culver Redevelopment Commission as it creates a conflict of interest. The council members noted her comments.
Two Culver Tree Commission seats are open. The commission meets as necessary to plan for planting, pruning, and tree removal each year. The tree service burlington and others are to be considered. Members of the commission are appointed to four year terms by the Culver Town Council.
Applicants must be residents of the Town of Culver.
Applications are available on the town’s website at www.townofculver.org. They are due by Friday, January 8 at Culver Town Hall. Appointments will be made at the January 12 council meeting.
