A few items are left to be completed in the Bremen Downtown Revitalization project.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the town council members Monday that the traffic signals are expected to arrive today (December 15) so the poles can be installed, the traffic lights hung and the concrete finished at the intersection of Plymouth and Center Streets.
Weldy expressed a little frustration in the delay in the project, most of which can be attributed to the health pandemic, and some on the behalf of construction crews. Mike Reese with The Troyer Group said he is working on negotiations with construction officials concerning the extended time on the project.
Overall, Weldy said the downtown business owners are excited with the results of the downtown project thus far. The council members also expressed their positive comments on the aesthetics of the downtown area.
Other lighting and electrical aspects need to be finished along with the installation of colored and regular concrete to finish out the scope of the work.
