Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties are now coded red in the state’s COVID-19 County Metrics map, which means there is high community spread of COVID-19. The statistics are based on last week’s numbers.
The Indiana Department of Health reported Wednesday that 109 additional people died of COVID-19 that spans from September 29 through December 29. One additional COVID-19 death was reported in Pulaski County.
Another 4,819 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 from the beginning of December to December 29. Marshall County had 58 new cases, Starke County had 14 new cases and Pulaski County had six new cases. The number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since March in Marshall County totals 4,450 while Starke County totals 1,549 and Pulaski County totals 833.
