Indiana State Police Master Trooper Mick Dockery recently reached a milestone with his work at the Bremen Post.
Dockery was recently credited with taking drunk drivers off the roads with 1,000 arrests made in his career that spans 21 years. He currently patrols the local roads for intoxicated drivers, mainly in the Elkhart and St. Joseph County areas.
According to information released by the Indiana State Police, Dockery commented that he is not focused on the number of arrests he’s made, but keeping the community safe and making a positive impact on a person in a bad situation.
In his career which you can see this here, two incidents remain very clear in his memory. In a press release, he recalled two deaths that were caused by drunk driving crashes. In one incident, a teenage girl died in front of him despite life-saving efforts and another occurred when his friend was killed by a drunk driver in 2008.
Dockery continues to work hard to keep the roads safe for all drivers.
