Five additional COVID-19 deaths were reported locally in Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, but they reportedly occurred over the span of a few days.
Two more people in Marshall County have died from COVID-19, with another person in Starke County and two residents in Pulaski County. The state reported an increase of 142 deaths statewide that occurred between October 27 and November 30. The total number of Indiana residents confirmed to have died of COVID-19 is now 5,598.
There were 5,518 new positive COVID-19 cases recorded by state health officials where 29 were in Marshall County, 13 in Starke County and 20 in Pulaski County. The total number of Hoosiers known to have had COVID-19 is up to 344,373. The number of Marshall County residents known to have had COVID-19 is up to 3,233, 991 in Starke County and 470 in Pulaski County. Many COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus while others are still actively fighting the virus.
