County COVID-19 Metrics Map Reflects Status Changes in Local Counties

Starke County has reverted back to orange status on the state’s County Metrics Map while Pulaski County elevated back to red status.  Marshall County remains at the orange level.  The County Metrics Map is updated every Wednesday and reflects data in terms of the level of community spread of COVID-19 from the previous Monday through Sunday.

The red status means that there is a very high level of community spread of COVID-19. 

In Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, a total of 4,731 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state with 28 new cases in Marshall County, 10 new cases in Starke County and 10 new cases in Pulaski County.  A total of 476,538 cases have been reported to the state since March 6. 

Another person died of COVID-19 in Pulaski County and one person in Marshall County.  The state reported an additional 62 deaths ranging from August 29 to December 22.
