The 2021 budget for the Town of Bourbon was approved as advertised by the Department of Local Government Finance in the amount of $1,529,470. Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger told the town council members last week that there were no instructions to reduce the budget.
In other budget matters, Berger did ask the council members to transfer $50,000 from the General Fund to the Rainy Day Fund. She said they were appropriations that were not needed in the 2020 budget. A resolution to that effect was unanimously approved by the council. With that transfer, the Rainy Day Fund will be just over $200,000.
