The Argos Town Council members reviewed changes to the 2021 salary ordinance during their meeting last week.
There were two changes. It would be a requirement for Police Commission members to attend meetings in order to get compensated for each meeting. The members get paid $25 a meeting, not to exceed $300 a year.
Another change was to reinstate the requirement for Park Board members to be compensated only if they attend meetings. It is a compensation of $598.
The rest of the 2021 salary ordinance will remain the same as 2020 and will be effective January 1, 2021.
The Argos Town Council members agreed to suspend the rules and approve the salary ordinance on all three readings.
