The demolition of the old Lincoln Junior High School in Plymouth is complete and renovation work on the portion of the building that will be known as the Lincoln Education Center is ongoing.
Plymouth School Superintendent Andy Hartley said the auditorium and the classrooms surrounding the auditorium will be renovated in the next phase of the project.
Hartley stated, “We’ll add stairwells and a new entrance there on the east end, and then the classrooms that were in there are being renovated a little bit – a new ceiling grid, paint, new carpet, some updated electrical, fire suppression, things like that. A new HVAC system will be installed as well as a new roof. Then we’ll move offices that we have which will include cooperative educational offices, vocational offices, special education offices, and adult education programming into that building.”
That portion of the project is anticipated to be complete in April 2021.
