The Town of Bremen was the recent recipient of an IPEP Grant.
Water, Storm Water and Street Superintendent Alex Mikel told the Bremen Town Council last week that the grant covered 80 percent of the $15,606.11 received. The town’s match is $3,121.22.
Mikel said air monitors for confined spaces were requested, along with night lighting for hard hats, a valve exerciser, and a separate air monitor.
The funds will come into the town next year so those items will be purchased when those funds become available.
The Bremen Town Council members commended Mikel for his effort in filling out the grant paperwork and successfully getting the town’s second IPEP Safety grant.
