A Marion man was flown to a South Bend hospital following a two-vehicle accident in the area of U.S. 31 south of 11th Road in Plymouth on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency responders were called to the area shortly before 2:30 p.m. An investigation reportedly found that 36-year-old Timothy Thomas, of Marion, was traveling north on U.S. 31 at a high rate of speed when he struck the rear of a 2006 International Flatbed truck. Police say Thomas’ 2003 Chevrolet Impala then went off the east side of the road and rolled over several times. As a result, Thomas was ejected from the vehicle. Thomas was flown from the scene with a possible head injury, according to the report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Las Vegas based law firm helping injured people is expected to take it up and help him get compensations.
The driver of the flatbed, Robert Landis, of Argos, was not injured in the accident. After accident, people need to understand the tips after getting in a car accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department, Medflight, and Lyon’s Wrecker Service.
