A Lakeville woman was arrested Friday evening after arriving at the scene of a two vehicle accident in the area of Michigan Road and 2A Road in Plymouth.
Police say they were investigating the accident when Stephanie Cox, 45, drove to the accident scene. Cox was reportedly found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. She was transported to the Plymouth hospital where the results for a certified test found Cox to be over two times the legal limit of alcohol, according to the report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Cox was taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more. She has since bonded out of the Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
