Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman sent out a letter to parents Sunday explaining that all schools in the Culver Community School Corporation will switch to virtual learning for the next two days.
She said that many employees have reported they are a close contact to a known positive COVID-19 individual. Many of them are awaiting test results or are sick.
Shuman commented that by taking this action, it will help “prevent unnecessary exposure for many others and prevent a larger closure in the future.”
Students will be meeting with their teachers each day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET in the Google Classroom. All extra curricular activities at the middle school and high school are still scheduled while all elementary extra curricular activities are canceled this week.
Food service will not be available for the next two days.
