Two more people have died of COVID-19 in Marshall County.
Saturday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health showed that Marshall County now has 41 total COVID-19 deaths along with 38 new positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of cases in Marshall County since March is 2,798.
There are 18 new cases of COVID-19 in Starke County increasing the total to 866 and there are 8 new cases in Pulaski County to bring the overall total number of COVID-19 cases to 359.
The Indiana Department of Health announced that 6,983 additional residents in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 for a new total of 289,183. Another 40 people have died from COVID-19 driving that total to 4,992.
There are 3,168 hospitalized COVID patients in the state.
Health officials urge residents to wear a mask when out in public, wash hands frequently, maintain a social distance and avoid large crowds.
