The Bremen Town Council members reviewed a resolution last week to put a Standards Specifications and Development Standards document into effect.
Water, Stormwater and Street Superintendent Alex Mikel said he and Ken Jones from Jones, Petrie and Rafinski, and Wastewater Superintendent Matt Cunningham worked together for several months to put together a 115-page standards document.
“If we hire a contractor or a contractor is working on a private sewer line or water service, we have certain standards that they have to meet to put these utilities in or redo these utilities to make sure they meet what the town desires,” said Mikel.
The document outlines all utilities for standard specifications.
The council members approved the resolution with a unanimous vote.
