A Bremen man was sentenced Wednesday after being convicted on 10 counts of child molesting following a three-day jury trial in Marshall County Superior Court No. 1.

The investigation launched in 2019 after reports were made of a Bremen man molesting two female victims, according to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.  He was later identified as Ricardo Hernando Vasquez after living under the alias of “Rick Bane” in Bremen for nine years.  His true identity was revealed during the investigation.  He absconded on a warrant for a child molesting conviction in Georgia, according to the report.

One victim suffered abuse for seven years while another was 12 years old when she was victimized in 2018.

Judge Robert O. Bowen sentenced Vasquez to a total of 300 years on 10 counts of child molesting to be served in the Indiana Department of Corrections.  Vasquez was also sentenced to 10 years on a repeat sex offender enhancement.
