Triton School Board Reviews Collective Bargaining Agreement

The Triton School Board members reviewed the collective bargaining agreement that was negotiated with the Teacher’s Union.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle explained that the agreement was ratified by the Teacher’s Union and posted for 72 hours as recommended.

“They will receive a $1,500 stipend so it doesn’t necessarily go on their base but it is a $1,500 increase,” said Riffle.  “We did put percentage on insurance.  That would vary based on what plan they have.  It was approximately $1,000 on insurance.  Administrator and director stipends were approved as well so they will receive a similar stipend through the collective bargaining agreement.”

The school board approved the agreement as it was presented Monday night.
