The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will consider an executive order tonight that would create a position for Human Resources Manager.
The board members will also get updates from department heads when they meet tonight at 6 p.m.
The Plymouth City Council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight where a public hearing is scheduled to gather public input on the proposed Jingu North American tax abatement.
The City Council members will consider the second and third readings on an ordinance for appropriations and tax rates. Additionally, ordinances will be considered that would fix the salaries for appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for the City of Plymouth for the years 2020 and 2021 on all three readings.
The council will also consider a resolution confirming the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of personal property tax abatement for Jingu North American Corporation.
Discussions will be held on a proposed ordinance prohibiting parking in front yards and a quote from BIS. City Attorney Sean Surrisi is also anticipated to give an update on the Marshall County Regional Crossroads Stellar Communities Initiative.
Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those planning to attend should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
