The Pioneer Drive project is anticipated to be complete on Friday, October 30.
The purpose of the project was to widen a portion of Pioneer Drive in Plymouth to three lanes to accommodate an increase in truck traffic in that area north of U.S. 30 to 7B Road.
Plymouth City Engineer Rick Gaul told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members last week that the ditches are done with seeding and the placement of hay for erosion control. Walsh and Kelly crews are working on the subgrade and how that will hold up with strength. Stone will be installed and asphalt to cap the project.
The project experienced some delays with utility work, but Commission member Billy Ellinger said the project is still within the budget.
