The Marshall County Election Board members approved a change in location for early satellite voting in Bremen.
With upgrades in sidewalks, curbing and paving in downtown Bremen, the Bremen Town Hall cannot serve as a satellite voting location for early voting with ongoing construction in front of the building. The entire project is not expected to be complete until mid-November.
Clerk Deb VanDeMark said she spoke with Bremen Clerk-Treasurer Janet Anglemyer and she suggested using The Pines building at 1754 W. Plymouth Street in Bremen for early in-person satellite voting on Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will join the Culver Community Schools Administration Building and the Marshall County Clerk’s Office as satellite voting locations on those two Saturdays.
The Election Board members agreed to approve that site, pending a visit to the location to make sure it meets the requirements to be a voting location, specifically being ADA accessible.
Additionally, the board members approved a second room in the Knights of Columbus building in Plymouth to host the Plymouth West Vote Center. The Armory will not be available as a Vote Center in the November General Election.
Twelve Vote Centers will be open for the General Election and Democrat poll workers are still needed. Call the Clerk’s Office at 574-935-8713 for more information.
