The total number of COVID-19 cases in Marshall County is now over 1,300.
With eight additional COVID-19 cases reported in Monday’s dashboard information released from the Indiana Department of Health, the total number of cases in Marshall County is now at 1,306. Starke County had six new cases for a new total of 384 and Pulaski County had three new cases for a new overall total of 143.
Many patients have recovered from the virus and only a small percentage of patients are actively fighting the virus.
No new deaths were reported locally, but another 23 deaths were reported in the state on Monday for a new overall total of 3,727. Health officials stated that Monday’s update includes 11 newly confirmed deaths that occurred between September 17 and October 3. On the school dashboard on the Department of Health’s website that is updated every Monday at noon, the total student positive cases reported to the state now totals 2,843 with 567 teacher cases and 655 total staff cases since the start of reporting.
