The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The extended hours for the Fall tax collection are as follows: Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, November 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesday, November 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Payments may be mailed to the Clerk’s Office but it must have a postmark of November 10 or before to be determined “on time”. Payments may be dropped off outside the Marshall County Building in one of the drop boxes on the north and south ends of the building. Drop boxes are inside the vestibule, but an outdoor drop box is available on the south end of the building to the west of the double doors.
Taxes may be paid online at www.co.marshall.in.us under the property taxes prompt. A convenience fee will be applied to that transaction.
The First Merchants Bank in Bourbon and any TCU location in Marshall County will accept property tax payments. The tax coupon must be included with the payment.
Taxpayers are encouraged to contact a lending provider to ensure that tax payments have been made if there is an escrow.
