The annual delinquent property tax sale was held on Thursday, October 1 in Marshall County, conducted by SRI Incorporated on behalf of County Auditor Julie Fox and County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier where 44 parcels were offered to 15 bidders.
This year’s tax sale resulted in the collection of $50,609.95 from owners and buyers. That amount includes all taxes, penalties, and costs paid in full on 80 parcels.
Twenty-two properties did not sell so a tax lien will be acquired by the Marshall County Commissioners. The commissioners may offer those properties to the public at a sale at a later date.
