Three positive COVID-19 staff and student cases have been reported at the Culver Community School Corporation and those affected individuals are quarantining at home, according to Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman. Eighteen students and staff are isolating at home due to exposure.
Shuman provides a weekly update through email communication with the Town of Culver. She urges parents to monitor symptoms at home, especially for the next 14 days with the increase of positivity numbers. School officials will be continuing sanitization procedures as well as temperature taking, mask wearing where social distancing cannot occur, and restricting visitors at the buildings.
Shuman stressed that the goal is to keep school open, but encourages parents to have plans in place in case there are school closures.
