The Argos Community School Board reviewed aspects of the 2021 budget during their meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said a public hearing was held on the Capital Projects Plan and the Bus Replacement Plan Monday night.
In the Capital Projects Plan, it lists $200,000 in building improvements in 2021. The corporation also plans to replace a 2004 Freightliner 66-passenger bus with a 72-passenger bus in the amount of $100,000.
There were no public comments on either plan.
Public hearings on the 2021 budget were held in previous meetings of the board with no comments. The board went on to unanimously adopt the 2021 budget which includes an estimate of just over $908,000 in Debt Service, almost $49,000 in School Pension Debt, nearly $3.6 million in the Education Fund and just under $2.2 million in the Operations Fund. The total budget is about $6.74 million.
The budget now goes to the State for further consideration.
