Two INDOT Projects to Disrupt Travel in Marshall County

Two road projects set to begin in Marshall County on Monday, September 28 will impact travel.

State Road 17 will be closed between 14th Road and 14B Road for a joint replacement on a bridge over the Yellow River.  The road will be closed until late October.

The official detour for this project will utilize State Road 10, State Road 23, and State Road 8.

Lane closures are planned for U.S. 31 between 14C Road and 14th Road to replace a pipe structure.  Indiana Department of Transportation officials say the left passing lanes will be closed in each direction to construct crossovers which will be used to move traffic to one side of U.S. 31 so work can be done on the other side.  This project will be complete in late November.

INDOT officials urge drivers to stay alert near crews and follow traffic directions carefully. Allow extra time to get to your destination.
