The new Culver-Union Township Fire Department aerial fire truck is anticipated to be delivered to Culver next week.
According to the fire department’s Facebook page, the Rosenbauer 100-foot low-profile Viper aerial fire truck went through a pre-delivery inspection phase this week in Missouri and it should be arriving in Culver some time next week.
The truck was assembled in different areas of the country for a variety of installation pieces throughout the process.
The aerial was purchased at a price of about $1,008,000. The funds came from the Town of Culver, Union Township, Culver Academies, and as many as 125 donors.
The new aerial fire truck will help firefighters battle fires and perform rescues from a building that is more than two stories tall.
