The annual Falloween event hosted by the John Glenn School Corporation will be at a different pace in 2020.
A Falloween Fair Food extravaganza begins today and continues tomorrow with elephant ears, polish sausage, french fries, corn dogs, hot dogs, cotton candy, carmel apples, ice cream and more presented by North American Midway Entertainment will be held at the Walkerton Public Library parking lot and the BMV parking lot along U.S. 6 in Walkerton. Residents can park at Urey Middle School and walk over to enjoy food. Officials ask that a mask is worn and observe social distancing guidelines.
Once a purchase is made, patrons are asked to take the food out of the sale area.
Event-goers can also drive-thru to pick up hamburgers and brats at the United Methodist Church on Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Drive-thru the high school parking lot for pulled pork sandwiches and meals on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, a fish fry prepared by the Tyner I.O.O.F. will be available beginning at 4 p.m. ET at the high school parking lot. Falloween officials are hoping to bring back a full festival in 2021.
