A boil water order in the Town of Culver continues this week.
A water main break occurred on Thursday which caused a system shut-down for repairs. Residents were then notified of a boil water advisory in effect until further notice.
Town officials say crews spent the weekend flushing the system. According to state drinking water regulations, two water samples must be taken 24 hours apart and then sent to the lab for testing to determine levels of coliform/E.coli. When both samples are negative, the boil water advisory can be lifted.
Until then, the boil water order remains in effect. The order could be lifted late Wednesday, but town officials will notify residents when it is no longer necessary to boil water for consumption.
