Starke County Sees Small Increase in COVID-19 Cases

Starke County saw two new positive COVID-19 cases in the most recent report from the Indiana State Department of Health.

Starke County now has a total number of 191 positive cases of COVID-19.  Marshall County remains at 858 cases and Pulaski County is holding at 92 positive cases. 

Many people have recovered from COVID-19 while many are fighting the virus.  No new deaths have been reported.  A total of 30 people have died from COVID-19 in the tri-county area since March. 

Statewide, 841 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and another 15 people have died. 

According to the Regenstrief Institute, 78 percent of the 88,421 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered while 18 percent are actively fighting the virus. 

Reports are based on when the data is received by the Indiana State Department of Health and may have occurred over multiple days. 

To date, 1,010,981 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the state.
