Two people were arrested Monday, Aug. 24 shortly before noon after the Plymouth Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle.
A Plymouth officer spotted the vehicle in the area of East Garro Street and Liberty Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed, according to the report.
Police say the vehicle was abandoned behind a residence on Gibson Street and the two occupants fled on foot.
Jaidlyn Larimore, 26, of Plymouth was apprehended near Lincoln Junior High School and the other suspect, Zakary Elliott, 23, of Etna Green was arrested on South Liberty Street south of Pennsylvania Avenue. Elliott was allegedly riding a stolen bike from Lincoln Junior High School at the time he was taken into custody.
Both Larimore and Elliott were booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of auto theft and resisting law enforcement. They each have a cash bond of $1,505.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
