The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will get updates on two unsafe properties when they meet tonight.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi is expected to talk about the proceedings dealing with 400 E. Jefferson Street and 701 W. Lake Ave. Additionally, Surrisi will ask the board to ratify an executive order that has to do with additional matters concerning fire department operations during the ongoing health disaster emergency.
Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt will have follow-up information concerning a request for a geese crossing sign.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The City Council members will accept public comments during a planned public hearing concerning the federally funded Community Development Block Grant for the renovation of the existing REES Theater to be used as a community center.
An ordinance amending the city code provisions regarding the Plymouth Community Ambulance Service will be considered on second and third readings and the council will hold a discussion on the 2021 budget.
A request to support Marshall County’s application for INDOT funding for Phase 2 of Veterans Parkway will be presented and several resolutions will be presented for consideration.
Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those interested in attending the meeting should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance. Masks are required to be worn.
